BOURNEMOUTH INTERNATIONAL TRIATHLON

It's usually a sell out and it will be again in 2023 as Bournemouth has been selected to host the World 2024 Sprint Great Britain Age Group Qualifiers!
Bournemouth International Triathlon is located on the west side of Bournemouth Pier. Both sprint and standard distance swims start on the award-winning blue flag beach just under the zig zag of West Cliff Gardens before heading out of Bournemouth on a fast bike course towards the market town of Ringwood on the edge of The New Forest. You then finish by running along the promenade to finish back on the sand!
You have the most fantastic opportunity to qualify and compete for the GB Age group team at Bournemouth as it hosts the Sprint Distance World qualifier. To find out more please see HERE. You can also give the Aquathlon a shot and submit your time to BTF to see if you can qualify for their multisport team!
Different options available:
World 2024 British Triathlon Age Group Qualifier - Sprint Distance Triathlon: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run (Novices welcome) *To qualify for the GB Age Group Team athletes must register their intent to qualify before 5pm on the Friday before the race (08.09.2023). Standard Distance Triathlon: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
Aquathlon Sprint: 750m swim, 5km run
Aquabike Standard: 1500m swim, 40km bike
Bournemouth was one of the first Triathlons to hit the South Coast. It has been raced by thousands including Olympians and Triathletes that went onto to become pros!

Want to become a Challenging Events Marshal? Volunteers take on many important tasks, from car parking, helping on registration, marshalling out on the course to running a water stop. Marshalling is a super fun day out and without your support to help us deliver the best possible event, our events just wouldn't be able to run. You really can make a huge difference!
Each event is different but you will have a dedicated manager to brief you on your duties and look after you throughout the day. Timings will vary from event to event. We will provide you with a high visibility vest so that you are seen to be part of our event.
And as a thank you, we will send you a free entry code to use against any of our events. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our Challenging Events family!
